Shooting in Gray leaves two dead

On Friday night, TPSO was called to a shooting incident on Willowdale Drive. An adult male and adult female were found deceased, and Detectives were called to the scene. Through further investigation, Detectives determined that the victims were parade-goers, who were viciously gunned down in the front yard of their residence as they returned home.

One dead in shooting incident on Lafayette Street in Houma

On February 1st, 2024, at approximately 5:45pm the Houma Police Department responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of Lafayette Street. The 20-year-old victim has been identified as Terrance Scott and has died because of his injuries at a local medical facility. The 14-year-old has been treated for his injuries and is expected to recover.

TPSO dispels “Road Rage” rumor regarding yesterday’s shooting incident

Sheriff Tim Soignet has been made aware of a series of rumors that have been circulating through social media and the community, which indicate that the incident occurred as a result of “Road Rage”.  At this point in the investigation, Detectives have located no evidence to support those rumors.

Agents Arrest Golden Meadow Man for Fishing Violations in Lafourche Parish

The 45-year-old was in possession of eight red drum, six black drum, four sheepshead, two southern flounder, eight mullet, 15 spotted seatrout and one shad.  Seven of the eight red drum and all six of the black drum were undersized.

Chackbay Man Charged with Sex Crimes Involving a Child

Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of a Chackbay man for sex crime involving a child. Christopher Raffray, 56, was arrested on Wednesday. He was the subject of a recent investigation for reportedly having sexual contact with a juvenile under the age of 13 about 10 years ago.

Three suspects arrested on charges related to ongoing rape investigation

On January 25th, 2024 the Houma Police Department concluded an investigation that resulted in the arrest of three suspects related to an ongoing rape investigation. One man was arrested for the charge of First Degree Rape and Aggravated Kidnapping. Two others were each charged with Aggravated Kidnapping and Simple Battery.

Former LSU football player Kayshon Boutte arrested in Illegal Sports Gaming Scheme

Investigators learned that former Louisiana State University football player, 21-year-old Kayshon Boutte of Baton Rouge, participated in sports gambling from April 6, 2022, until May 7, 2023, when he was 20 years old. Boutte is believed to have placed over 8,900 wagers while underage.
