Sheriff Tim Soignet is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a group of individuals who are being sought for an attempted ATM theft, which occurred in the 1000 block of West Tunnel Blvd in Houma.

Following the crash that ultimately claimed the life of Henry Savoie, Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop C arrested 19-year-old Isabelle Nguyen.

TPSO Deputies made contact with a 13-year-old victim, who reported that Sousa struck her multiple times with a belt, along with striking her to the facial area. 

Agents completed a search of the home, where they located close to 1400 grams of Heroin, numerous items of drug related paraphernalia consistent with the distribution and creation of illegal street level narcotics, along with over 100 grams of an unknown white powdery substance believed to be fentanyl or another substance suspected to be used as a “cutting agent”.  The search of the home also revealed handwritten documents consistent with the illegal drug trade and over $15,000.00 in cash. 

State Fire Marshal deputies, with the assistance of several law enforcement partners in Lafourche and Terrebonne parishes, have arrested a Bayou Blue man for two hotel fires that occurred this month as they continue to investigate his possible involvement in several others.

Benjamin James Acosta, 52, was arrested for Aggravated Arson for his involvement in a November 26th structure fire on Broadway Ave in Schriever.

Antoinette Lanay Miller, 28, of Schriever and Janay Recole Smith, 36, of Schriever, were arrested for multiple criminal offenses as a result of their involvement in the investigation.

Man arrested and charged with illegal possession of stolen things and illegal possession of a stolen firearm.

Thibodaux Chief of Police Bryan Zeringue announced the arrest of Cance Mitchell Jr. (B/M, 19) of Gray, La. & Montrell Williams (B/M, 19) of Houma, La. Both suspects were charged with 4-counts of Simple Burglary of a Motor Vehicle (Felony) and 1-count of Theft of a Motor Vehicle (Felony).

Leonard Gordon Naquin, 59, was arrested on multiple charges in connection with a vehicle pursuit that took place in Montegut, La, which resulted in TPSO Deputies and the suspect receiving medical treatment. Both the suspect and Sheriff's Office vehicles struck an unoccupied residence causing severe damage to the structure.

This evening, Saturday, November 11, 2023 shortly before 6:00 p.m., Thibodaux Police Department Officers on patrol responded to a crash involving a pedestrian near the intersection of Canal Boulevard and School Street.

After Hurricane Ida, Clarke Lee, 45, performed unlicensed contracting, incomplete and poor-quality work that resulted in hundreds of thousands in damages to the victims’ homes. 

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced that the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office has a Bourg man in custody after an incident in Montegut, which culminated in two TPSO Deputies, and the male suspect obtaining medical treatment.

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a three suspects on multiple narcotics related charges, in connection with an investigation completed by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and K-9 Divisions.

Jena Nicole Domangue, 29, was arrested in connection with the investigation, for charges of Second-Degree Cruelty to a Juvenile.
