A Houma man is in custody of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office after he allegedly struck two sisters, then pulled a gun on them.

On Jan. 3 at approximately 3 a.m., TPSO deputies were called to Monarch Drive in reference to a home disturbance.

Once on the scene, authorities discovered that the suspect, Anthony Clay, of 321 Roselawn St., Houma, had already fled the scene.

Through investigation, deputies learned that the victims in the case were sisters – one 19 years old and the other 21.

The 19-year-old, according to authorities, was an acquaintance of Clay, and they were at the apartment, which belonged to the 21-year-old.

Authorities said the 21-year-old asked Clay to leave, and he got upset and refused.

The suspect then allegedly started to fight with the sister, which caused the 19-year-old sister to try and stop Clay, during which he allegedly punched the younger sister.

After the skirmish, the suspect allegedly pulled a handgun on the ladies and threatened them, before running away from the scene.

At the time, authorities patrolled the area, but were not able to find Clay, issuing a warrant for his arrest.

On Jan. 13, several days after the alleged incident, authorities located Clay and took him into custody on two counts of simple battery and two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.

He is also charged with a parole violation, and he remains in the Terrebonne Parish Jail without bond.
