A 68-year-old Thibodaux man has posted a $1,500 bond after he was arrested for allegedly attempting to “shoot up” a local store.

On Dec. 23 at about 2:09 p.m., the Thibodaux Police Department was called to a business in the 400 block of North Canal Boulevard due to a customer who was allegedly making threats to shoot up a store.

Upon arriving on the scene, authorities learned that Louis Albardao, 68, of Thibodaux, had been removed from the store by management.

An investigation revealed that the suspect was irate in the store when someone took his buggy while he wasn’t looking.

The suspect then accused several customers and made threats to management, saying he was going to “shoot up the store.”

The suspect admitted to TPD that his intentions were to go retrieve a weapon from his vehicle and shoot the responsible party who took his buggy. Officers obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s vehicle and located a .44-magnum handgun.

Albarado is charged with terrorizing. He was taken to the Lafourche Parish Jail, booked on a $1,500 bond, which he later posted.
