A Houma teenager is wanted by the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office after he allegedly shot a man, then fled the scene.

Authorities said he may be armed and potentially dangerous.

On Sunday night at 10:30 p.m., deputies and detectives responded to a shooting that occurred in the 3100 block of West Main Street in Gray.

Upon arrival, deputies located a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his thigh.

He was conscious when officers arrived and he was taken via Acadian Ambulance to a hospital out of the area.

Authorities said the man is in serious condition, but he is expected to live.

After investigation, detectives learned that the victim and his girlfriend’s brother, Rinard Charles, 18, of 3110 West Main Street, Gray, were involved in a verbal altercation when Charles allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot the victim. He then fled the scene before deputies arrived.

Charles is pictured. He is a slender black male with dark hair. At the time of this photo, he had a blonde streak in his hairline.

Anyone with information of his whereabouts is asked to contact TPSO at (985) 876-2500.
