UPDATE: Sheriff Tim Soignet reports that on the afternoon of January 1, 2021, Kamron Kajon Jacquot, 20, was taken into custody in connection with a homicide that occurred on Jolie Oaks Boulevard earlier on the same date.
“This investigation is still on-going, and we still need anyone who has information to contact us,” Sheriff Soignet said. “I am extremely proud of the teamwork between our detectives and uniformed patrol deputies, which resulted in this apprehension. I also wish to thank the Houma Police Department for their assistance.”

Sheriff Tim Soignet reports that on Jan. 1, 2021 at approximately 1:40 a.m., Terrebonne Parish deputies responded to the 200 block of Jolie Oaks Boulevard in Thibodaux regarding a shooting. Two individuals were transported to hospitals with life-threatening injuries.

Deputies and detectives learned that there was a New Year’s Eve party at the location and that a physical altercation occurred between several individuals there. A gun was drawn, and numerous shots were fired at the victims.
One subsequently died.


As a result of this on-going investigation warrants were issued for Kamron Kajon Jacquot, 20, of Thibodaux, for Second Degree Murder and Attempted Second Degree Murder.
