Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were called to Chauvin this morning after receiving a call of a body having been found.
Patrol deputies located the decomposed remains of an individual believed to be male and a crime scene was established.
Col. Terry Daigre, TPSO’s Chief Criminal Deputy, said the body has yet to be identified and there is no indication yet regarding whether foul play was involved.
The Terrebonne Parish Coroner’s Office is performing a death investigation which should help provide answers.
