Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet said that on Nov. 30, 2021, Tuesday morning, shortly after midnight TPSO deputies and detectives responded to the 3500 block of La. Highway 316 Gray in reference to a shooting.

Deputies arrived on the scene and learned that an 18-year-old female had been shot in her lower body while laying his bed inside of their mobile home. She was treated on scene by Acadian Ambulance and transported to an out-of-area hospital for further treatment. The latest information provided to law enforcement was that her injuries were non-life-threatening.


There were multiple shell casings and other evidence recovered near the wooded area in the rear of the mobile home where the shots came from. TPSO detectives do not believe that the victim was the intended target.
