The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office announced this week that it is looking for a suspect responsible for a theft of money at the Soap Opera laundromat in February.

On February 26, 2017, a complaint was filed by a victim who had just done business at the laundromat.

She allegedly told authorities that she was doing her laundry, then noticed that her money came up missing.

Further investigation revealed that there was video surveillance of the incident, which captured a photo of the suspects – a black female wearing a black and white dress and a black male wearing grey colored pants, a black shirt, sunglasses and a backwards cap.

The video also depicts a juvenile involved in the theft wearing orange colored shorts and an orange shirt.

After the incident took place, authorities also obtained footage that showed the suspects leaving in a gray, older model Chevy Impala, likely from the 1970s. The vehicle had chrome rims on the back tires and a black rim on the front driver’s side tire.

TPSO is asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects so that they may face justice for their alleged crime.

Anyone with information is asked to call TPSO at (985) 876-2500 or Bayou Region Crime Stoppers at 1-800-743-7433.
