Sheriff Tim Soignet advised that on April 27, 2022, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies made multiple arrests in the Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling.

Sheriff Soignet advised that Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a 1992 Jeep Cherokee being stolen from Houma, La.  A picture of the stolen vehicle was posted to social media and recognized by an alert citizen in Montegut, LA, who notified a Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Water Patrol Deputy.  Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office located the stolen vehicle parked in the 500 block of Hwy 55 and contacted John Fanguy (32 years of age, residing in Dulac, LA), Jamien Chauvin (19 years of age, residing in Montegut, LA), and Kade Domangue (19 years of age, residing in Montegut, LA).  John Fanguy was recognized from photos of the suspect seen on video stealing the Jeep and was taken into custody for Theft of a Motor Vehicle.

While on the scene, Deputies were notified that the three had burglarized a nearby residence and stolen multiple items.  After further investigation, Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives arrested John Fanguy, Jamien Chauvin, and Kade Domangue for Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling and recovered some of the stolen items.

Bonds have not been set as of this time.  Sheriff Tim Soignet would like to thank the alert citizens of this parish for helping solve yet another criminal offense in Terrebonne Parish.
