Houma Police detectives continue their investigation into the shooting that occurred at Club Nu Vision, which is located at the intersection of Honduras Street and Canal Street. As a result, Houma Police have identified the victim located inside Club Nu Vision as Daquan Johnson-25 yrs old of Lafayette Street.


The other subject who was transported to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds died and was identified as Hassan Clayton-38 yrs old of Shady Arbor Circle.

Houma Police detectives are in the process of interviewing additional witnesses and gathering evidence in attempts to obtain a motive but encourages anyone with information to contact the agency.

This investigation is ongoing and further information will be released as it develops.


“Senseless violence has struck the community again. Two young men are dead as a result of it. This has to stop. Families are losing loved ones at alarming rates behind foolishness. This is ridiculous,” said Chief Dana Coleman.

The Houma Police Department is currently working a shooting that occurred at an establishment, Club Nu Vision, at the corner of Canal Street and Honduras Street where one subject is deceased and another suffering from multiple wounds.


Around 8pm Houma Police responded to a call of shots fired near the intersection of Canal Street and Honduras Street. Upon arrival, officers were directed to the area of Club Nu Vision, which is located at the corner. During the investigation, Houma Police located one subject deceased inside the building. It was apparent this individual died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. Houma Police also learned a 2nd subject was transported from the scene to a local medical facility where he too was also suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

At this point, the area of Canal Street and Honduras Street is an active crime scene. The investigation is in its infant stages and further information will be released as it develops.
