Houma Police Chief Dana Coleman confirmed to The Times this morning that no suspect is currently in custody in a shooting incident that occurred last night in Downtown Houma.

A teenager was shot last night, following a physical altercation that was captured on social media.

The male was able to be stabilized on the scene, and his injuries were considered non-life-threatening.

The suspect fled the scene has has not yet been apprehended.

Coleman asked that anyone with any information on the shooting or the fight that preceded it to please contact the Houma Police Department or anonymously submit a tip through Crime Stoppers Bayou Region by phone at 1-800-743-7433 or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org.
