The First Annual Island Strong Beach Fest celebrates Grand Isle’s Hurricane Ida recovery with a live music festival Friday, July 15, and Saturday, July 16.
The two-day festival features live music, food, craft booths, and vendors that support recovery efforts. The proceeds from the fest go directly to rebuilding the island’s recreational facilities.
The fest will take place on the beach across from the Grand Isle Community Center (3811 LA-1). Tickets are $10 for Friday, $20 for Saturday, and kids ages 12 and under are free! See below for the music lineup:
Friday, July 15:
- 5:00 p.m. Gates Open- DJ
- 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Rockin’ Dopsie & The Zydeco Twisters
- 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.- Nashville South
Saturday, July 16:
- 10:00 a.m. Gates Open-DJ
- 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Aaron Foret
- 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Jr. Lacrosse & Sumtin Sneaky
- 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Shorts in December featuring Gordon Bradberry
- 8:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Velvet Sky
There will also be food available including Jambalaya (chicken, sausage & pork), White Beans, Shrimp Poboy with Fries, Shrimp Platter, Crab Patty Burger with Fries, Crab Patty Platter, Crab Fredo (bed of pasta with homemade crab patty on top covered with Cajun alfredo sauce and sprinkled with fried shrimp), Crawfish Patty Burger with Fries, Crawfish Patty Platter, Seasoned Cracklins, Funnel Cake Sticks, Fried Pickles, Fried Macaroni & Cheese Bites, Corn Nuggets, Chicken nuggets, and Egg rolls.
