April 2: Ladybug Ball Children’s Festival (Houma)

At Southdown Plantation House, 1208 Museum Drive, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Features an Indian Blessing ceremony, which begins at 9 a.m., and activities for youngsters: water guns, bean bag toss, face and nail painting, pin the dots on the ladybug, sand art, spin art booth, ladybug cookie decorating booth, ladybug attire contest, silent auction, raffle tickets, ladybug craft making and more.
