FREE TAX PREP

Volunteer Tax preparers with the organization 4U are offering free basic tax preparation for residents making $58,000 or less through the IRS’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program during tax season.

By appointment only at the Lockport, Raceland, Bayou Blue and Larose branches.

Teens and adults can learn to use Hoopla to watch free movies and TV shows and listen to audiobooks and music.

Branch Assistant Stephanie Melancon helps children build and program machines with Lego Robotics at the South Lafourche Public Library in Cut Off. Lego Robotics programs will be held at the South Lafourche, Lockport, and Thibodaux branches in January. Registration is required to attend, so sign up early.
