I have been waiting too long for this to come.

SIGHTINSOUND, Houma’s premier indie rock band, has announced that they are releasing their first full-length EP. Cody Peltier is the lead vocalist and guitarist, Robert Moon plays bass, Scott Breidenstein does synth, keys, tambourine, and trumpet, and Dustin Eagan plays the fudge out of his drums.

That’s right, boys and girls, come to their album release party on July 21 at The Boxer & The Barrel, 7817 Main St., Houma. A few lucky folks can take home a very limited edition of the album, which is only available on this night.

The six-song album features such tracks as “Bon Voyage!,” “Sparks” and, my favorite, “Night Terrors.” They plan to tour Texas this summer to promote the album, and I wish them the best. Sharing the stage that night with SIGHTINSOUND is Twin Killers (Baton Rouge), Heat Dust (New Orleans) and Glish (New Orleans).

For more information on SIGHTINSOUND, follow them on Facebook or go to www.sightinsound.bandcamp.com.

Rusty Bouvier is co-founder of Houmapalooza Music Festival and Art Versus. He is a part-time rock star and artist. Bouvier has a BFA from Nicholls State University and is serving as the Community Development Coordinator for the Houma Regional Arts Council.

SIGHTINSOUND, comprised of Cody Peltier, Robert Moon, Scott Breidenstein and Dustin Eagan, releases its first full-length EP July 21 with a party at Houma’s The Boxer and The Barrel.
