Didn’t get away during the summer for an exotic vacation? Here is a chance to take a one of a kind trip aboard the “SS Sequoia” on Sunday.
Guests are invited to be at Sequoia at the Bee Bennett House Restaurant, 643 Bee St. in Placerville, at 6 p.m. to dembark on a special Caribbean cruise.
The “One Night Caribbean Cruise” is set in the beautiful Empire Ballroom on the S.S. Sequoia and will be the scene for an adventure that will include a sumptuous banquet, live music, comedy, mystery and unforgettable characters – and guests don’t have to pack a suitcase or go through security check points.
The entourage sets sail heading right into the heart of the Bermuda Triangle. Dark sees, strange clouds and eerie lights greet the travelers on cruise ship transporting the sojourners right smack into pirate territory.
The lovely tropical Island breezes will carry the merry crowd on the SS Sequoia through romance, music and swashbuckling fun all the while shivering your timbers and maintaining a starboard course. Guests may even be singing along and enjoying a “Yo-ho-ho, and a Bottle of Rum.”
The beautiful cruise director Goldie Dabloon (Lisa Collins), the handsome Captain Handee (David Gidlow), and the adventurers that come aboard will keep everyone entertained and treat guests royally while the band plays on.
Other wayfarers on board are: Gypsy opera singer Gypsicka (Peggy Ann Drake), Lounge singer Frankie Sinotro (Linzie Waldon), Mrs. Rich (Beverly Rose Gidlow), Pirate Captain Le Feetzes (Jeffery Lathrop), Pirate Captain Inda Morgan (Carolina Smith), Itsmee pirate and first mate (DeWayne Ekness), pirate Singed Beard (Henry Carr), pirate Singood (Jamaica Cole), pirate Sweetnote (Larry Smith), pirate Scalleywag (Pete McIntosh), pirate Schlepnswab (Brody Cole) and pirate Jake Robin (Sky Cole).
Of course the questions start to circulate. Will the cruise ship escape the Bermuda Triangle? Will love conquer all? Well if it doesn’t, dessert will.
