Dear Editor,

I was very surprised to see that a fine publisher like Darren Guidry would run a campaign ad for the Clintons and call it an opinion. Mr. Sheldon Richman posing as a guest columnist wrote nothing but lies about John McCain as if it were a news release.

There is nothing dubious about John McCain being a war hero. He did serve his country. He did not drop bombs, he did not kill civilians.

Mr. Richman, to repeat Communist North Viet Namese propaganda is to become the communist. Mr. Richman, your motives and your service to the USA is now in question. Did you ever put on a uniform? Do you work for Hillary Clinton? Are you on her payroll? Has someone paid you to add a poison letter to an otherwise good newspaper?

I could see your comments in a socialist yellow journal like the New York Times, but not in the Tri-Parish Times.

Mr. Richman, my question to you is, “Are you a dope smoking hippy who refuses to grow up?” If so, please don’t have any children. We the people of the Tri-parish area need more heroes, not hacks who would lie for food.

Mr. Richman quotes Mother Jones Magazine without saying that Mother Jones is an alternate name for marijuana. Mr. Richman, its time for urinalysis and a trip to the fifth floor of Chabert Memorial.

Three and a half years ago, 54 million voters voted for a Democrat. You don’t have to lie to these people. They are going to vote Democrat anyway.

Fifty-eight million voters voted for George Bush. Do you think a single one of those 58 million voters would believe your lies?

Who is it are you trying to fool? This leaves only the children who have come of voting age in the last four years for you to lie to. Shame on you.

All you voters out there in Terrebonne, Lafourche and St. Mary Parish, find out for yourself what the candidates are about, make your own decisions based on facts not lies.

Vote the way “you” want to.

Trust no one who lives above I-10 to make this decision for you.

George S. Bourg
