Dear Editor:

I am writing to express my support of Gov. Bobby Jindal’s policies and goals, and to explain why I believe he represents the best kind of leader, providing a model of leadership to which other politicians and public figures should aspire.

Although Gov. Jindal may not be well known yet by the American public, I am confident that he will rise to prominence on the national political stage because he possesses the characteristics of leadership that this country is in need of.

In recent decades, we have squandered the inheritance of knowledge and efforts made by our forbearers, whose actions were always guided by solid morals and ethics.

Gov. Jindal is a leader who is finally helping us recognize that we have distanced ourselves from the values of our forerunners and learning how to embody those values through decisions and action.

Among the values that inform Jindal’s actions is his pro-life stance, which is backed up by a 100 percent pro-life voting record. He also opposes stem-cell research, supports drilling for oil in order to reduce dependence upon foreign producers, and has consistently supported the federal government’s policies and practices in the Global War on Terror.

Gov. Jindal is unambivalent and unapologetic about his beliefs. He acts based upon his conscience, and inspires citizens to adopt the same posture with respect to living their own beliefs.

I support Gov. Jindal and thank him for being a leader who knows what he stands for. His example is an inspiration.
