The Bayou Country Toy Drive Distribution hosted by the Houma Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is this weekend! The event will be held this Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Visitors Center located at 114 Tourist Dr. in Gray, LA.
They have been collecting toys to bring a little Christmas magic to families in Terrebonne Parish still recovering from Hurricane Ida. This event is free for parents who are still experiencing hardship to stop in and shop for a toy for their child or children! If possible, they ask for the children not be present. There is no registration, however, they encourage those coming to sign up to give them an idea of how many people to expect the day of the event. Gifts will be given on a first-come-first-served basis with one toy per child. There will also be a free wrapping station for parents to wrap gifts!
Houma CVB Executive Director Sondra Corbitt said, “It’s always a great day when we get to spend time with folks in our community. We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday and bringing a little Christmas magic to the children of Terrebonne Parish this holiday season!
