Leadership & Lattes


Leadership and Lattes is the Women’s Business Alliance’s newest community where they will empower women in business over a cup of coffee or tea through education and networking. The event includes 20 minutes for networking, 30 minutes for group discussion and activity on a business topic, and an additional 10 minutes for networking. Networking begins at 8:00 a.m. Registration is $10 for member and $20 for non-members.

La Bonne Terre Festival

Maria Immacolata Catholic Church and School present their 2nd annual fundraising festival. The day will offer Cajun food, rides and games, a silent auction and more. Live music will be featured from area bands including Tet Dur and Front Reaux. Funds raised will go towards building a new school on the church grounds.

Bubba Dove Fishing Rodeo

Cast a line at the 11th annual Bubba Dove Fishing Rodeo. There are inshore, offshore, and children’s categories. Tickets are $30; cost includes rodeo entry, entry into the door prize drawing, including a $1,000 cash drawing, a shirt, and food and soft drinks during scale times. All proceeds benefit charitable causes aimed at restoring the Gulf Coast, the promotion of education to those less fortunate, and other important local causes.

PoV Pop-Up: Summer Arts Stroll 


May’s PoV Pop-Up Party brings together art, music and food for an evening of Summer Fun! We invite you to join us for a Summer Arts Stroll in Town Center at Acadia Plantation in Thibodaux. Local artists will have their works hosted in galleries inside the businesses of Rue Colette. Artist sponsors include Meyer Financial Group and Parish Wealth Partners. Strong Heart Trail Trot:

Brooklyn Beating the Odds

This no frills 2-mile trail jog has the sole purpose of raising funds for a member of our community. In the event’s 5th year, they are helping Brooklyn, age 9, to continue her quest in overcoming the odds. This young lady has come so far, but still has several surgeries ahead of her. She is also in need of a service dog. This event is hosted by the Cooper Life Fund.

Celebrate health and fitness with a fun-filled family yoga experience. This Gentle Flow and meditative experience will be held in the outdoor amphitheater space. (In case of rain, yoga moves indoors.)

Athlete Strength & Conditioning Summer Camp

Help your student athlete take their fitness to the next level with TGMC’s Sports Performance Training Camp. Athletes will train with certified coaches to build strength, agility and speed to master their sport. “Youth” camp is designed for athletes in middle and junior high, from 11-15 years old. Camp meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1-2 p.m. Space is limited. Call 985-850-6206 to register.

Cajun Heritage Festival


A hunter’s dream, the Cajun Heritage Festival showcases a decoy show and live auction, plus carving demos, duck calling contests, Cajun food, vendors and raffles. This festival celebrates the Cajun heritage of Lafourche Parish. Free and open to the public.

Gheens Bon Mange’ Festival

Pass a good time at this annual festival in Gheens. The weekend-long event features live music, delicious food, and the festival’s signature Rougarou Brew. Admission is free. Children’s fun will be provided by GatorBounce Inflatables; bracelets will be sold. Bands and foods are located inside an air-conditioned building!

6th Annual Empower Our Youth and Teen Extravaganza

Join in this empowering day for area youth, an event created by local motivation speaker and author Corey Harris. The event features motivational speakers, area bands and dance teams, free food and snowballs. Doors open at 1:15 p.m.

Enjoy the 4th Annual Sunrise & Houma-Terrebonne Rotary Clubs Bud and Burgers Championship. This event is the fundraiser for the charitable causes that both Rotary Clubs perform throughout the year. Come taste the best burgers around while listening to great music. Think your burger is the best around? Come compete in one of our four categories: Restaurant, Corporate, Backyard Grillers, and the Rotarian only category. Enjoy music by Vintage at 4:30 p.m. and Stormy at 7:30 p.m. Beer is sponsored by Budweiser. Your $10 ticket grants entry to the burger cook-off. Tickets will be sold for drinks.
