Live After 5

Downtown Live After 5 welcomes Bandit to the monthly music event. Join your friends and family to usher in the weekend. Bring your chairs and blankets, but please, leave your ice chests at home. Beverages will be available for purchase.

Up Beet Wellness Expo


The Up Beet Wellness Expo presented by John Deere aims to bring healthy eating, overall wellness, and physical fitness to the community. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students under age 18, or $20 for the whole family. Admission includes all activities, speakers, access to vendors and lunch, provided by the Kiwanis Club. All the proceeds from this event will go to help funding the St. Francis Vegetable Garden, ensuring that the garden will be able to continue offering a health conscious hub to the community.

Roux for a Reason


Delicious gumbos will be vying for the prize of “Best” at this unique cook-off event. The non-profit organization Roux for a Reason seeks to raise money for Terrebonne General Medical Center’s Early Bird Mobile Screening Bus, which provides our community with free cancer screenings. Three of the board members lost their fathers to cancer and it is through this event that they hope to promote early detection for cancer. Music provided by Bandit. The entry fee for the family-friendly event is $10.

Super Cooper 5K

The Super Cooper 5K/1-Mile race raises money to assist families whose newborn is seriously ill and must be admitted into the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at TGMC. Music and refreshments, including jambalaya, await runners post-race, as well as a bounce house and free laser tag for kids 14 and under. Cash prizes for top 3 Overall Male and Top 3 Overall Female 5K finishers.

Sigma Alpha Epsilon – Louisiana Chi will host their 6th annual Donut Dash 5K sponsored by Mr. Ronnie’s Famous Hot Donuts. All proceeds benefit the Lions Club of Schriever.

Bayouland YMCA hosts this 2nd annual fun color run event. Registration and packet pick up opens at 7 a.m., and race begins at 8 a.m. Make your way through 4 color stations along the 5K route. By the time you cross the finish line, you will be colorful from head to toe.

Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic

Join in the 40th anniversary of the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic 10K! The course starts on Poydras near the Superdome and runs though the financial district, historical Jackson Square, Esplanade Ave., to beautiful City Park. After the race, enjoy the Michelob Ultra RaceFest in City Park’s festival grounds.
