Saturday, Nov. 27th is Small Business Saturday and The City of Morgan City invites you to the 3rd Annual Mistletoe and Moss Holiday Market from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM in Downtown Morgan City under the HWY 90 Bridge.
The Mistletoe and Moss will allow shoppers to support local entrepreneurs on Small Business Saturday and throughout the holiday season.“The vendors who are participating are indeed small businesses of some kind and all contribute to our local sales taxes for the holiday season by participating in our market.” reads a statement from City of Morgan City manager Beth Price. “The annual event first took place at the City of Morgan City but due to growth and the pandemic, the decision was made last year to move it our doors under our HWY 90 bridge” Price added.
The market will include 77 booths offering a range of services, crafted and handmade goods, local boutique and storefronts, art and decor, lots of sweets, and much more! Vendors participating in the Mistletoe & Moss Holiday Market include:
Moe’s Poboys & Takeout will be serving a menu of delicious items including 6 in. BBQ Pork Poboy ($12.00), 6 in Ham, Turkey, or Sausage Poboy ($10.00), Hamburgers on a bun ($6) and all meals will be served with fries and drinks.
In addition to serving as manager and director of COMC, Price is an entrepreneur and says she understands how significant the holiday season is to small business owners. “I myself am a small business owner planning and participating in this particular market and I know just how important the holiday season can be. With the way things are currently, we’re seeing more people interested in buying local, and this market gives people the opportunity to do just that and shop 77 different places in a short amount of time in one location!”
