The city stops as the 750 men of Houma’s only super krewe, the Krewe of Hercules, takes to the streets. Founder and Parade Captain S.P. LaRussa believes in putting on a show and boy does this year’s parade entertainment measure up!

The Krewe of Hercules welcomes the 610 Stompers, an all male dance group of New Orleans fame to entertain and bedazzle the city of Houma. Founded in 2009, this 100-man strong group refers to themselves as “Ordinary Men with Extraordinary Moves.”With an equal passion for dance and charitable acts, the dance group lives to make the public smile. The energy is high as the men boogie down the street, clad in their trademark red windbreakers, red sweatbands, blue shorts and gold sneakers.

Through their charitable events including their Ball Crawl and Debutante Ball, the 610 Stompers have been able to donate over $500,000 back into charities and non-profits in their community. The Stompers are happy to perform anywhere they can draw a crowd. Outside of Mardi Gras, past performances have included Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Washington D.C. Mardi Gras, and sporting events including New Orleans Saints, Hornets/Pelicans, Zephyrs/Babycakes games and halftime shows.

Get ready to get down as the 610 Stompers bring the party to the masses!
