Point of Vue magazine is at it again, ready to host our first pop-up party of 2019!

In 2016, Louisiana reported 153,000 women-owned businesses across every genre and category. This month’s PoV Pop-Up Party takes its lead from February’s Women’s Issue and places local, women-owned-and-run boutiques and retail stores front and center.

We invite you to join us on February 7, from 5-8 p.m., as we create a fun atmosphere to browse spring fashion, shoes, accessories and more inside the spacious showroom of Geri Lynn Nissan in Houma. Food and beverage provided by Rouses Markets. Admission to the party is free!

Geri Lynn Nissan has been a premier dealership and auto service center in the Bayou Region since 1985. Since officially becoming Geri Lynn Nissan in June of 2016, the dealership has been named the #1 Import for Houma-Terrebonne in 2016, #1 Volume Dealer in 2017, has achieved the Nissan Award for Excellence and qualified for J.D. Power Dealer of Excellence for 2019. Their personable charismatic owner, Geri Lynn, has positively impacted our community since she first started working at the dealership in 1987.

Featured vendors include: Roux Clothing Company, La Boujee Boutique, Spa Blue and Boutique, Felger’s Footwear, K&G Bath & Body Plus, Mignon on Main Street, Envy Boutique, Roe Roe Rosie, Belle Visage, Outside & In, Rosé Boutique, Rae Boutique, Harper Lane, Southern Roots Salon of Houma, and Kiki & Co.

In the spirit of the Women’s Issue, we will be hosting a raffle to benefit The Haven, a women’s outreach center that services Terrebonne, Lafourche and Assumption parishes. Prizes to be raffled include gift certificates to participating retail stores and more.

We are proud of the women in our area who have achieved success in their chosen career paths. Our area is grateful for their dedication both professionally and philanthropically. The sky is the limit when choosing a career. If you can dream it, you can become it.
