The Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter is offering a special "Homes for the Holidays" $25 adoption fee for all animals through December 31.  

Dozens of animals are currently available for adoption at the shelter.

Adopted animals are provided with the following: 

  • health exam 

  • vaccinations 

  • dewormer 

  • appropriate testing 

  • microchip (including registration) 

  • Spay/neuter 

  • 1 mo. supply of flea prevention 

  • 1 mo. supply of heartworm prevention (dogs) 

  • Starter bag of Hill’s Science Diet food

“We understand that the holiday season means extra spending, and because of that, we would like to help make adoption more feasible for those whom are looking for a new family member,” Animal Shelter Manager Valerie Robinson said. “At the Terrebonne Parish Animal Shelter, we work hard to ensure that pets are going into permanent homes and not just for the holiday season, so our adoption process remains the same.”
