Parish President Gordon E. Dove is pleased to announce that the annual Christmas Parade will roll on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 5:00pm. The parade will leave Terrebonne High School Parking lot onto St. Charles Street. The official starting point of the parade will be at the intersection of Saint Charles and Main Street. The parade will then follow the traditional route along Main Street, turning right onto Barrow Street, and will end at the corner of Barrow and School Street. Signs will be placed 24 hours in advance of the parade giving an indication as to when barricades will be placed and asking that no one park vehicles along the route before the parade. Parade goers are to stand behind the barricades and will not be allowed to approach the floats.

Float Captains have been issued COVID -19 safety practices and requested to share with their riders. All candy throws will be prepackaged and bagged. All floats and barricades will be sanitized prior to the parade and hand sanitizer will be provided to all riders. Masks will be on
site for anyone that desires a mask before getting on a float.

HPD officers and TPSO deputies will be positioned along the route for traffic control and public safety. All parade goers are encouraged to practice social distancing by gathering in small household groups and are encouraged to wear face masks. Port-a-lets will be placed at
starting point, along the route and drop off area, Town Hall. Santa and Mrs. Claus will stay until 8pm to allow the public to share a photo op with Santa and Mrs. Claus before heading back to the North Pole. We will respect the 6 ft social distancing to practice safe distancing.

Crews will be following the parade to remove the barricades and law enforcement will reopen the roads when deemed safe to do so. Street sweeper will run in the early morning hours before and after the parade to sanitize and clean the streets. For those who are sick, at high risk, or have concerns about COVID-19 safety, please stay safe at home.
