Lady of the Sea General Hospital in Galliano is recognizing the Callais family for their donations to help fund scholarships which benefited local students.
The hospital is recognizing Charles “Mike” and Blanche Callais for their generous grant donations, which totaled almost $20,000 through the Community Foundation of Acadiana.
The grants helped fund scholarships provided by Lady of the Sea, which they use to help locals who are enrolled in medical, nursing and allied health studies degree programs in the current school year.
Our Lady of the Sea gives out several scholarships each year and the hospital prides itself on hiring local people to fill its positions.
