The Terrebonne General Medical Center Community Sports Institute hosted a training session with Irving ‘Boo’ Schexnayder this past week in an effort to give valuable training to local coaches.

The event was titled ‘Planning Your Offseason for Speed and Power Development,’ and it showcased Schexnayder’s vast knowledge base.

Schexnayder is regarded internationally as one of the leading authorities in training design.

He has served for more than a decade as a coach at LSU and he’s also served as the Jump coach for Team USA at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

At the event, local coaches were able to learn better methods to grow athletes and help plan offseason workouts to build speed and power development.
