A power outage in Houma Thursday has left more than 3,000 without power.

The affected area includes most homes and subdivisions along La. Highway 311, starting at Fletcher Technical Community College and headed south at Enterprise Drive.

West Main Street and most streets branching from it, as well as from the U.S. Highway 90 overpass to Buquet Street, lost power. Almost all of West Park Avenue’s service is intact.

Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard until Corporate Drive and Savanne Road through La. Highway 311 also lost power.

The outage occurred around 3 p.m. today. Entergy originally forecasted a 5 p.m. service restoration, but online outage maps now predict 5:30 or 6 p.m. restorations.
