Amedee, Bagala win State Rep seats

Two local State Representative seats were decided outright in the October election. 

Beryl Amedee retained her seat in the 51st Representative District, scoring 64 percent of 9,762 votes with 100 percent of ballots casted.

Amedee beat challenger Clayton Voisin.


In the 54th Representative District, Reggie Bagala won outright election with 58 percent of 11,716 votes cast. 

Bagala beat Donny Lerille (26 percent) and Ernest Boudreaux (16 percent).
