It’s almost 80 degrees right now in Houma.

By 7 a.m. tomorrow morning, it will be half that.

By 7 a.m. Wednesday morning, it will be even less.

An Arctic front is sweeping through the area overnight, which will drastically drop temperatures after midnight and into tomorrow morning.

Our current warmth will give way to the Arctic chill. Tomorrow, we will wake up to temperatures in the lower 40s. Tomorrow’s high temperature may never leave the 40s with bitter winds blowing out of the north at 25-30 mph clips.

On Wednesday morning, the lows will be in the 30s near freezing.

The record chill is expected to last until late-week with the weekend forecast to be gorgeous – sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s.
