Due to rising water levels within the Bayou Black/Chacahoula Drainage Basin, Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government announced this afternoon on social media that it will be closing the Bayou Black Flood Control Structure today at 2:00 p.m.

“The basin will be monitored around the clock,” the post reads, “and as soon as water levels return below the structures closing threshold, the structure will be reopen.”
