All pre-kindergarten classes at Bayou Blue Elementary School will begin at-home instruction on Friday, December 11 due to the number of COVID-19 cases in classes, Principal Tina Guidry announced via social media.

Students will return to campus on Monday, January 4th, she said.

Attention Pre-K parents:
Due to the number of Covid cases in PreK classes and with guidance from the Louisiana Department of Health, all PreK classes at Bayou Blue Elementary School will begin at home instruction on Friday, December 11th. Students will return to campus on Monday, January 4th. Regular bus transportation will be provided this afternoon. However, if you would like to come and check your child out, you may do so.
Parents you will be able to pick up a work packet tomorrow after 12:00 p.m. for your child’s assignments. These should be completed and returned to school on January 4, 2021.
If your child were to become ill and test positive for Covid, please call the school at 879-4378 or email the Principal at tguidry@mylpsd.com.
