May 20, 2015A seven year old boy drowned in a Chauvin swimming pool Saturday, authorities confirm.
Major Malcolm Wolfe of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office said the incident occurred at around 4:30 pm on the 4900 block of Bayouside Drive.
The circumstances, Wolfe said, are considered accidental.
Detectives were still gathering information at about 8 pm.
The child’s name has not yet been released.
