While thinking about your  funeral may not be the most exciting, preplanning your own or a loved one’s funeral can benefit your family during time of bereavement. Chauvin Funeral Home and Crematory invites you to attend their lunch and learn for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Nov 18 at the Funeral home located at 5899 HWY 311 in Houma.

Enjoy lunch while attending an information session that discusses advanced funeral planning options, how these decisions can help your loved ones at a time of loss, and how planning can truly become a gift to your family. Attendees will also learn how to avoid mistakes families sometimes make during times of grief.

Family Service Counselor Jency Viator says the purpose of the event is to inform the community of the long-term benefits and importance of preplanning. “Advance funeral planning is extremely beneficial to their survivors, loved ones, and children, so that they are not dealing with it at such a delicate time. With the knowledge gained, you can make decisions you feel good about today and bring peace to your family when they need it most.”

Advance registration is required. For information on the lunch and learn contact (337) 256-1396 to make reservations as there is limited seating.
