The Danos Foundation announced it has distributed $140,000 to six nonprofit organizations located in Louisiana and Texas, areas where the company works. Six groups were selected as grant recipients from a total of 70 nonprofits who applied. Grant distributions include: $50,000 to Family Promise of Odessa (Odessa, Texas); $50,000 to The Life of a Single Mom (Baton Rouge, LA); $10,000 to The Dulac Community Center (Dulac, LA); $10,000 to The Salvation Army of Houma; $10,000 to The Salvation Army of Lafayette; and $10,000 Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans.

“The Danos Foundation is honored to help these nonprofits who are making a big impact in our communities,” said Mark Danos, CEO of Danos Family Investments. “We look forward to continuing to partner with organizations who are caring for and serving others.”

The Danos Foundation impacts and improves the communities where company employees live and work by mirroring the purpose and values of Danos. The Foundation leverages resources of time, talent and money to support and promote involvement in activities and initiatives to help resolve community challenges. The grants are a part of Danos GIVES, the community grant program of the Foundation. The Foundation also consists of Danos WORKS, an employee volunteer program, and Danos CARES, an employee assistance program.

“All of this is possible thanks to the care and generosity of our Danos employees who both run and provide funding for the Foundation. Because Danos employees are passionate about making a difference, we’re able to live out our purpose: Honor God. Develop great people to solve big challenges for our communities,” said Danos.
