Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 286,145. That’s 3,738 more cases since Friday in the weekend’s two-day total. 263,059 are confirmed; 23,086 are probable.

 

The state is reporting 48 new deaths, bringing the total to 7,042 deaths. 6,711 are confirmed; 331 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 12/14/20 is 232,725, which is 14,795 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting 5,731 cases. There are 5,020 confirmed and 711 probable. That’s 93 new cases since Friday. They are reporting 158 deaths; 151 are confirmed and 7 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Dec. 3-Dec. 9 is 10.0.0%, up 16.3% from the week prior, which was 8.60%.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 5,443 cases. There are 4,973 confirmed and 470 probable. That’s 93 more cases since Friday. They are reporting 144 deaths; 138 are confirmed and 6 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Dec. 3-Dec. 9 is 7.90%, up 8.20% from the week prior, which was 7.40%. Total recovered is 3,764 as of 11/25/20.

 

Statewide, there are 1,534 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 169 are on ventilators. That’s 13 fewer patients since Friday, and 10 fewer on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 4,123,715, which is 48,116 more tests than Friday. There are 3,946,298 molecular tests and 177,417 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 74,649 tests in Lafourche (69,951 molecular and 4,698 antigen) and 72,088 tests in Terrebonne (68,862 molecular and 3,226 antigen). That’s 921 more tests in Lafourche and 972 more in Terrebonne since Friday.
