Twenty-eight high school seniors were honored tonight at the 65th Annual American Legion Teenager of the Year Program. Presented by the American Legion Lenox Hotard Post 31 at the Regional Military Museum, the program honored all nominees for their contributions to their community, church and school and awarded Evan Blanchard of Terrebonne High School with the Teenager of the Year Award.

Mr. William Dunckelman served as Master of Ceremonies, and other special guests included Terrebonne Parish School System Superintendent Phillip Martin, TFAE Executive Director Ashlee Barahona, Councilman Darrin Guidry, and other members of the School Board.

The administrations of each of the area high schools in Terrebonne Parish are invited nominate up to four students. One student is chosen by a  blind panel of veterans and educators and is announced at the annual banquet.
