Houma business owner and financial auditor Clarence Williams has announced his intention to seek the office of Terrebonne Parish tax assessor during the Oct. 22 primary election.


Williams has made his career in the field of business consulting on both a domestic and international level.

He has performed work as both a public and internal financial auditor and provided contract consulting to the Auditor’s Office of New Orleans.


A graduate of Terrebonne High School and the University of Hawaii, Williams is a military veteran, accomplished projects and business director and financial administrator.

Williams is involved in community service organizations including his role as treasurer of the Terrebonne Economic Development Authority, treasurer for the Houma Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, board member of the Chabert Medical Foundation and a consultant to Faith Based Institutions. He is also an active member of the Houma Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce and the Houma Rotary Club.

“I have worked with the best and wish to share my knowledge, vision and experience with my beloved Terrebonne community,” Williams said.

Williams is a resident of Terrebonne Parish, father of two adult children and two grandchildren.
