Crews are currently working on clearing smoke out of the Barataria Station Apartments located at 320 Barataria Ave. in Houma, the Houma Fire Department announced.
The department announced the emergency incident close to 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
Houma Fire asks that residents remain clear of the area while crews work.
