A resident for over 20 years. We had a high water event in the spring that created a inconvenience for some residents. Parish officials installed a plug in our drainage canal with a tiny illegit pump to clear the water. Now we live under a constant threat of our homes being flooded during a rain event like last night. Promises of a permanent legit pump in the future is great, but for now it is a constant threat for a big rain event. Poor planning and lack of engineering got us here. Complaints fell on deaf ears. God help us again because a high water mark 1 inch from floor height is a close call.
