Flu season

Flu season is hitting Louisiana hard!

The Office of Public Health wants to help everyone prepare for the holidays by protecting ourselves and our loved ones by getting vaccinated against the flu.
Louisiana has been hit the earliest and the hardest this season. During last year’s flu season, more than 1,400 people died from the flu and thousands more were hospitalized in our state. An annual flu vaccine is still the first and best way to protect yourself and your family from the flu!
The Louisiana Department of Health will be hosting a flu vaccination clinic on Tuesday, November 19th from 3 – 7 p.m. at the Warren J. Harang Municipal Auditorium located at 310 N. Canal Boulevard in Thibodaux.
The event is open to everyone in the entire Region 3 area including the parishes of Assumption, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, St. John, St. Mary and Terrebonne. Everyone can receive a flu vaccine with no out-of-pocket expense.
