Free admission at Regional Military Museum Open House

The Regional Military Museum announced its Open House scheduled for Wednesday, June 22, 2022. The Open House will be held from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. and will offer free admission. The museum is located at 1154 Barrow St, in Houma.

Preserving the military history of South Louisiana, the Regional Military Museum features exhibits from World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, and the War on Terror. Learn more about the museum, and it’s exhibits here.

According their website, The Regional Military Museum is a non-profit dedicated to preserving the memory of local heroes who served in wars throughout American history. From displays dedicated to stories of local veterans and war heroes, to authentic refurbished military jeeps and helicopters, to one of President Eisenhower’s own Air Force One Aero Commanders, there is no shortage of unique, interactive exhibits and authentic wartime artifacts to bring historic global events to a local level.
