Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 394,909. That’s 2,517 more cases since yesterday. 345,457 are confirmed; 49,452 are probable.

 

The state is reporting 55 new deaths, bringing the total to 8,743 deaths. 8,202 are confirmed; 541 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 1/25/21 is 344,321, which is 24,296 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting, 8,120 cases. There are 6,432 confirmed and 1,688 probable. That’s 61 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 176 deaths; 168 are confirmed and 8 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Jan. 14-Jan. 20 is 9.90%, up 2.06% from the week prior, which was 9.70%. Incidence is 449.47.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 8,468 cases. There are 6,943 confirmed and 1,525 probable. That’s 76 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 176 deaths; 165 are confirmed and 11 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Jan.14-Jan. 20 is 10.40%, down 11.11% from the week prior, which was 11.70%. Incidence is 420.64.

 

Statewide, there are 1,590 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 206 are on ventilators. That’s 35 less patients since yesterday, and 3 more on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 5,236,162, which is 35,914 more tests than yesterday. There are 4,889,332 molecular tests and 346,830 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 95,946 tests in Lafourche (85,371 molecular and 10,575 antigen) and 94,363 tests in Terrebonne (86,757 molecular and 7,606 antigen). That’s 827 more tests in Lafourche and 1,295 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
