Be sure to tune in tomorrow morning because WWLTV is coming to the bayou to talk about Hurricane Ida, the recovery process, and where to go from here. The On The Road Show will be at the Houma Area Convention & Visitors Bureau and goes live from 4:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

They called the Houma CVB asking about key individuals and organizations that have been helping with relief efforts in our community and Executive Director Sondra Corbitt said they were honored to be able to help make this feature possible. The line-up includes Waylon Thibodaux who will also be playing music during the commercial breaks, Terrebonne Parish Tim Soignet, Executive Director of TEDA Matt Rookard, Jonathan Foret with the Helio Foundation, Noah Lirette with the Hache Grant Association, and a representative from Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government. They also wanted to feature a cooking segment on the show which will feature KJ Townsend from Houma’s very own Quizine Quarters. Other feature stories will be from The United Houma Nation, Chauvin Sculpture Garden, Terrebonne ARC, and A&B Seafood!

Corbitt said they were honored to be a part of the feature because she said they need to get the message out further that residents are still struggling with recovery. She said it will get the message out that even though we have devastation in the area, we are resilient, however, we still have situations where people are still living in tents. She said it’s important to get that word out because we don’t get attention like places such as New Orleans, and it will show how we work together, and hopefully, it will get enough attention to get more assistance, “we are still struggling down here,” she said,” and I think people that are being highlighted on the show are truly an asset to our community.”
