House fire claims life of elderly Thibodaux woman

According to the Louisiana State Fire Marshal, around 5 p.m., the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department responded to the 100 block of N 11th Street for a report of a house fire. Unfortunately, firefighters located an elderly female victim inside.

This investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
