Kathy Naquin Mitchell, 60, a native of Pointe-aux-Chenes and resident of Bourg, La, passed away on January 10, 2021.
A memorial visitation will be held Monday, January 18, 2021 from 5pm to 8pm, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, West Park.
She is survived by her two daughters, Paige M. Belanger and husband Tony and Jeri Brooke M. Chidester and husband Chris; sister, Vickie N. Guidry and husband Jay; two brothers, Randy Naquin and Bryant Naquin; granddaughters, Avery and Aidyn Belanger; grandsons, Leiden, Tripp, and Kroy Chidester; God children, Randy “Bosco” Naquin, Clint, Elgy, and Troy Guidry. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry Paul Mitchell; her parents, Elmore “T-Sooke” and Mary Ann Naquin; in laws, Ocie Lee and Sybil Mitchell.
Kathy was a loving wife and mother. She adored her grandchildren and cherished her time spent with them. For 20 years, she was a teacher and warrior for her students at South Terrebonne High School. Kathy loved spending time at the camp in Grand Isle, gathering with friends, and shopping.
The family would like to thank Brittany Scott for her one-on-one loving care of Kathy, Heart of Hospice, Dr. Udhrain, Dr. Dang, the staff at the Thibodaux Regional Cancer Center, and the Bourg Fire Department.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue is in charge of arrangements.
