October 10, 2020LA Highway 1 is now OPEN south of the Leon Theriot Lock in Golden Meadow. There are a few spots on the highway where water still covers one or both lanes of traffic, but the roadway is passable for all vehicles. State and local law enforcement will be in the area to assist. Please drive carefully.
The mandatory evacuation below the Leon Theriot floodgate has been lifted. All pontoon and lift bridges have resumed normal operations.
