Today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting the total number of cases has risen to 378,318. That’s 3,856 more cases since yesterday. 332,973 are confirmed; 45,345 are probable.

 

The state is reporting 59 new deaths, bringing the total to 8,442 deaths. 7,928 are confirmed; 514 are probable.

 

The total of presumed recovered as of 1/18/21 is 320,025, which is 21,411 more than last week.


 

Lafourche Parish is reporting, 7,671 cases. There are 6,138 confirmed and 1,533 probable. That’s 101 new cases since yesterday. They are reporting 172 deaths; 163 are confirmed and 9 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Jan. 7-Jan. 13 is 9.80%, down 17.65% from the week prior, which was 11.90%. Incidence is 390.36.

 

Terrebonne Parish is reporting 7,876 cases. There are 6,562 confirmed and 1,314 probable. That’s 121 more cases since yesterday. They are reporting 166 deaths; 155 are confirmed and 11 are probable. Percent positivity for the week of Jan.7-Jan. 13 is 11.70%, down 18.18% from the week prior, which was 14.30%. Incidence is 401.73.

 

Statewide, there are 1,800 COVID-19 patients in hospitals, 233 are on ventilators. That’s 58 less patients since yesterday, and 10 less on ventilators.


 

The total of tests reported today is 5,018,910, which is 50,664 more tests than yesterday. There are 4,703,545 molecular tests and 315,365 antigen tests.

 

There have been a total of 91,310 tests in Lafourche (81,951 molecular and 9,359 antigen) and 89,464 tests in Terrebonne (82,709 molecular and 6,755 antigen). That’s 1,125 more tests in Lafourche and 1,474 more in Terrebonne since yesterday.
